Notes regarding copyright status | All photographs in the Joshua Elmer Collection appear to be in the public domain. While individual Elmer photos frequently have an unclear publication status, most or all of his photos are very likely unpublished works; more than 70 years have passed since Elmer's death. All works that may have been published by Elmer appear to have been created prior to 1923; all other works are undated. Finally, none of Elmer's works bear a copyright notice, and there is no evidence that this collection includes works-for-hire. |
