ARBOR, SAN JUAN COUNTY, WAS
Well Known Lady Summoned By Death
Mrs. Mary Davis Fatally Injured In Automobile Accident Late Saturday
By Virgil W. Frits
It came as a distinct shock to Fri¬ day Harbor residents late Saturday afternoon to learn that Mrs. Mary Davis, pioneer Island resident, had been killed in an automobile acci¬ dent.
Mrs. Davis was driving to her English Camp home after spending the afternoon with Mrs. E. A. Gen- este in Friday Harbor. When in the vicinity of the Al Sundstrom place on the Roche Harbor Road, her light

coupe hit the rear of a truck park¬ ed on the side of the road. The! car was badly wrecked and when discov¬ ered, there was broken glass of the windshield scattered about and the steering wheel broken off, and Mrs. Davis dead. .There were no eye witnesses to the accident.
Minutes after the accident, Dr. Bell was called and announced that death, no doubt, was instantaneous.;': While it is conjecture, it is the gere*-; eral opinion that Mrs. Davis must have suffered a stroke or fainting spell just prior to the fateful acci¬ dent.
